HOW TO KNOW 100% FOR SURE YOU ARE GOING TO HEAVEN

In one minute, in the privacy of your home, it can be explained how
you can know for sure that you will receive the gift of Heaven.

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the
Son of God; that you may know that ye have eternal life" 1 John 5:13

All you have to know are four things

1. God says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of
God." Romans 3:23

2. God says, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and
death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have
sinned." Romans 5:12

This is the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The price for
sin is death.

3. God says, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

God loves you very much. He doesn't want you to go to Hell. In fact,
He loves you so much tat He sent His Son Jesus to this earth. This is
why Christmas is celebrated. Jesus actually lifted the sins from you
and placed them upon Himself. When Jesus was on the cross His blood
cleansed your win. He paid the price for your sin, which is death.
They buried Jesus and He arose from the dead. he conquered death and
He conquered sin. This is why Easter is celebrated.

He offers you life.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

Eternal life is a present. You can't get baptized into Heaven; be good
to get into Heaven, pay money to get into Heaven; in fact, you can't
do anything to get into Heaven, except to accept God's gift and trust
Jesus as your only way into Heaven.

4. God says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only
begotten Son, that who so ever believeth in him should not perish, but
have everlasting life." John 3:16

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Romans 10:13

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons
of God..." John 1:12

"... but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our
Lord." Romans 6:23

HERE IS HOW YOU CALL UPON THE LORD

Dear Jesus,

Please forgive me of my sins and come into my heart. I trust you
today, Jesus, to lead me through my life. I trust you today, Jesus, to
take me to Heaven. Thank you for your sacrifice for me. Amen

Just as you were physically born to your parents, you are spiritually
born into the Kingdom of God when you call on Jesus.

RUNNING IN THE RAIN by Ron Hutchcraft Ministries

Sister is a dog. I didn't say my sister was a dog, no she is my sister-in-law, and she's an angel! But my friend Curtis has a dog he named Sister, which leads to some fairly amusing sentences. When Curtis and Sister first arrived in our area, Sister lived in this big fenced in area outside the house. But Curtis got a nice doghouse for Sister, the dog, and went to work making it a nice winter home for her. He installed 2 inches of insulation, put in a new floor, he even put a waterbed heater under the floor and some zip-loc bags with water for the heater to heat. Sister basically has a warm home with her own waterbed. But for the first couple of weeks after her home was completed, she wouldn't go in it! Curtis was away for the weekend and asked a friend to check on Sister. Well, one of those days was a day a powerful northeastern storm hit our area - with drenching rain. And when Curtis' friend visited Sister, there was that dog running around outside the doghouse in the wind and the pouring rain, still refusing to go in the home that had been provided for her!

Curtis said, "It's been frustrating. Here I lovingly prepared a warm, safe place, but she insists on staying outside in the cold and the rain." That frustration is probably one Jesus knows very well.

Our word for today from the Word of God comes from Luke 19:41, "As Jesus approached Jerusalem and saw the city, He wept over it and said, 'If you had only known on this day what would bring you peace, but now it is hidden from your eyes. You did not recognize the time of God's coming to you.' " This kind of grieving in the heart of Jesus is not limited to that one time and that one place. It happens every time another person keeps running in the rain when they could be living in the safety and warmth He has provided.

Jesus makes very clear what He wants to give us, what the result will be of our responding to Him. He talks "What would bring you peace?" And peace is what's at stake in what we do with Jesus, personal peace, peace with God, peace for all eternity. Jesus may actually have shed some tears over you, so many times, He has given you the opportunity to come into the wonderful peace of a personal relationship with Him, but you have refused to enter.

The result? You're alone out in the storm, feeling unnecessary loneliness because you're living outside His never-leaving love . . . unnecessary stress because you're trying to handle life without His peace . . . unnecessary pain because you're trying to carry the load without His great strength . . . unnecessary emptiness because you're trying to make life make sense without the One who gave you your life. And Jesus is saying, "If you only knew what I can do for you . . ."

The spiritual shelter Jesus invites you to has been very lovingly prepared for you . . . very expensively prepared for you. There was no way into a God-relationship as long as the death penalty for our sin stood between us and God. We are spiritual orphans in this world, separated from our Father, because of our sin. But the Bible says, speaking of the suffering and crucifixion of God's Son, "He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities." All that because of how much Jesus loves you. And the result of this incredible love - "The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him."

The peace that perhaps has eluded you your whole life can finally be yours when you give yourself to the One who gave His life for you on the cross. Jesus said of the people who missed Him, "You did not recognize the time of God's coming to you." That time for you may be this very day.

You don't need to run alone in the rain anymore . . . you know which way home is. Isn't it time you moved inside the safety and peace of the arms of Jesus Christ?

NOTHING AT ALL By Bob Perks

He sat there on the edge of the bed with his face nestled in his hands.

He was remembering a time when things were better.

"It seemed like such a short time ago when we were happy," he said as he lifted his head.

"If only I could turn back the clock," he moaned.

His life was supposed to be different.
His dreams were meant to come true.
But here he sat with nothing at all
Believing there's nothing more he could do.
He cried out to God "Please help me,
I think I lost my way!"
Then lowered his head to the pillow
Not wanting to face the day.

He didn't think God heard him
He thought he was completely alone
But his son was there in the doorway
Hearing his Daddy moan.

He ran to his room to find one
Then hurried back to his side
He said "Daddy, here. I turned back the clock."
Are you happy?" he asked and Dad cried.

The man on bed was speechless
You see, God had answered his plea
"Whenever you think you have nothing at all," God said.
Remember, my son, you have me!"

THE CARPENTER Author Unknown

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house-building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by. The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career.

When the carpenter finished his work and the builder came to inspect the house, the contractor handed the front-door key to the carpenter. "This is your house," he said, "my gift to you."

What a shock! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. Now he had to live in the home he had built none too well.

So it is with us. We build our lives in a distracted way, reacting rather than acting, willing to put up less than the best. At important points we do not give the job our best effort.

Then with a shock we look at the situation we have created and find that we are now living in the house we have built. If we had realized, we would have done it differently.

Think of yourself as the carpenter. Think about your house. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Build wisely. It is the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only one day more, that day deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity.

Your life today is the result of your attitudes and choices in the past. Your life tomorrow will be the result of your attitudes and the choices you make today.

THE STORY OF SOUL Author Unknown

There once was a man named Soul who was walking in a garden. He was whistling a real sweet tune for he was saved and had the joy of the Lord, but he was a baby Christian. As Soul was walking, a beautiful and seductive woman came out from behind a tree. Soul was very startled. He said, "Hello, I'm Soul, what is your name?"

She replied, "I am Temptation, I have what you want."

"What do I want?" replied Soul.

"You want to do all things which are of the flesh," said Temptation.

Soul replied, "O.K., lead me."

So he and Temptation went off and fulfilled the desires of the flesh. When Soul returned to the garden, he met a man named Condemnation. Condemnation said, "Hey, I see you have met my friend, Temptation."

Soul said, "Yes, who are you?"

"I am Condemnation, I come after Temptation. We work hand-in-hand." Then Condemnation jumped on Soul's back and began to beat him. He hit him in the face and kicked him when he was down. This went on for several days.

On about the third day, a man named Mercy came running and said, "I command you, Condemnation, to stop beating Soul."

Condemnation snickered, "Make me."

So Mercy unsheathed his sword and cut Condemnation in two.

As Soul watched in astonished pain, he was overtaken by the power of Mercy. Mercy walked up to Soul and said, "I have dealt with Condemnation before. He should not show up around you anymore."

Soul replied, "How can I ever thank you?"

"Well," replied Mercy, "I was sent here by God and He told me to introduce you to a dear friend of mine. His name is Redemption."

Redemption walked up and said, "Hello Soul, I see that you are not doing well."

Soul replied, "Not until Mercy came along. It is a pleasure to meet you Redemption."

"Well", said Redemption," I am glad to meet you. Are you ready to accept me?"

"What do you mean?" asked Soul.

Redemption said, "Well, when you accepted Jesus and decided to walk with Him, then you chose to accept the things of Him and His love. I am a part of Jesus' love. I help you feel forgiven. You will never have to deal with Condemnation again. Temptation may come around, but I have someone I would like for you to meet who can help you with that. His name is Grace."

Grace walked up to Soul and said, "Hello Soul, I have been waiting for you. As a matter of fact all three of us have been waiting to meet you. I will help you take the way out of Temptation that God gives you as it comes up. The last person we want you to meet is Faith."

"Hi Soul, I am Faith, and I will help you stay strong and keep your beliefs strong," said Faith.

Soul began to cry. When he began to cry Redemption said, "This is what we were here for. Jesus redeemed you, saved you by Grace through Faith and gives you his Mercy. Jesus loves you Soul."

Soul said, "I love you, Jesus."
